St Moriz Tan Review

Okay, so this is a bit of a mixed review. I neither love nor hate this tan. (weird I know). I got this because I felt that the Sally Hansen tan made me look like a fairy, due to the sparkles in the tan. So whilst shopping one day, I decided to take the plunge and buy this tan.

The tan is a mousse, so initially I thought it would be easy to apply. How wrong was I. If the tan if left on the skin for more than 30 seconds, It dries in leaving an orange patch, which unfortunately doesn't come off that easily. Once the tan is applied, It smells dreadful. But, I got over the smell, because I really wanted a tan for the night. I was wearing a white top, and during the night, if I began to sweat at all, I would see a rainbow of colours on my top under my arms. Also, any little bit of water will leave a bit streak in the tan. I actually got a drink spilled all over me on a night out & because I was wearing a crop top, I had massive streaks all over my stomach. Did I mention this tan also goes green? Yes, when I arrived home, my feet, which were also victims of the spilled drink, had gone GREEN. I had heard this happen to other people before, but I never thought it would happen to me as I had applied it with a clean tan mit.

The other side to this tan is that even when you scrub it off, its not gone. Its on your skin for at least a week. I hate the mousse, because it drips from the bottle if you leave it without the top on. Its very runny, and if you forget to shake it, its even worse. It is bet to exfoliate the day before you apply this tan, and shave as it will sink into the open pores leaving brown dots on your skin.

Pros: Gives an average looking colour
  It gives an instant tan
Cheap

Cons: It takes a long time to get it off
Streaks easily
Smells horrible
Dries in very quick
Hard to make it even.

So, overall, I'm not a fan of this tan, It retails for €4.99 In Ireland, and I think its £3.99 in the UK. Its an 'okay' tan if you want something cheap, but personally, Im not going to repurchase this. I give it a 4/10.
Hope you enjoyed this review.

This product was purchased with my own money. This review is 100% honest.

NOTD - Catrice cosmetics.

Todays nail of the day post is here! Sorry for the god awful picture, but I am just so in love with this colour I had to do a post. The colour is '030 Meet me at coral island' By Catrice cosmetics. This is a german brand, and their products are all very reasonably priced and have great lasting power.

The nail polishes are only €4 I think, which is extremely cheap. I have been wearing this colour for the past week, and it has barely chipped at all.

If your looking for a good nail polish then I highly recommend Catrice.

Revlon Colourstay Review

Recently I picked up this ah-mazzing foundation in boots for €17.50. I had bought it a few years ago, but foolishly, in the wrong shade, which made me look somewhat like a tangerine. Obviously not a good look for school. So, my bourjois foundation had sadly ran out *tear* , so I was adamant I was going to get a good foundation again. The colourstay foundation had amazing coverage. I would say medium to high, and you can really build it up without the cakey look.

The consistency is quite thick, which I like in a foundation, although not too thick as I would like to be able to blend it out!. It gives a flawless finish, which I was hoping for.
The only problem I have with this foundation, is that there is no pump :(. You can pour the foundation into the lid, but it is hard to get out that way.
Swatch

Pros :-
Good coverage
Thick consistency
Choice of normal to dry foundation or combination to oily
Good colour range
Cons:-
On very dry skin, It may look cakey
Works best with moisturizer/primer applied beforehand
No pump

Overall, I think this foundation is probably one of the best I have ever purchased & I will definitely repurchase when it runs out. The price is a little high, but hey, it looks good so why not?

You can purchase this in Boots, Superdrug, or other drugstores.

P.s It also stays on all day, seriously, it is impossible to remove!

Turkey 2013

From the title of this post, its not hard to guess what I am going to be talking about. From the 2nd of June until the 9th of June, I spent an amazing week in the Aegean Coast of Turkey in Kusadasi. A beautiful place with welcoming people. Here is a few photos I took while I was there.

Foundation?

Hi everyone :)
Today's post is about foundation.I am in no way at all an expert, but there are some things/products, I have found that tend to make your foundation look a whole lot better.

1.Skincare
This is definitely the most important factor in having good foundation. If your skin is very oily or very dry, it can be hard for foundation to stay on. Last December, I had bad acne on my forehead. It looked dreadful in pictures, but when i started using La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo, (cleanser & moisturizer)  it cleared up almost straight away. Now, my foundation doesn't clump around the spots, and it goes on a lot smoother.
It is important to follow a skincare routine and find products that work on your own skin. One product will not suit everyone, not even if your favourite Youtube guru uses it!

Summer Nails

Hi guys

Today I decided to do a nail art post. This summer has been extremely boring, and with not much else to do, I decided to do my nails. My sister initially painted them yellow, not the colour I was hoping for, but i think it worked out okay. I did her nails with a pink polish as a base, which looked a lot better.
All you need is :

  • Q Tip
  • Cocktail stick
  • Various shades of Nail polish ( I used yellow, pink and white )

This nail art design is inspired by BubzBeauty.

Excuse the wonky flowers on some of my nails. eek!

My blog design

Hi guys :)

A week ago I contacted the lovely Georgia from for the love of thrift who kindly designed my blog for me. I have NEVER been able to figure out the blog design so it really was a relief to find that Georgia did blog designs. In order for her to design the blog, I provided her with everything I wanted on the blog, such as colour scheme, widgets, etc. Over the week, I waited excitedly for the end design, and I am literally over the moon with it. I couldn't have done it better myself. If you want to enquire about a blog design, you'll find out more on her blog which I have linked.

Carry on essentials

Sometimes its hard to makeup your mind with what to bring on holiday. I admit, If i had more baggage, I probably would bring my whole wardrobe, although I would only wear half of it. For some people its hard to know what to bring in carry on (hand luggage), others find it difficult when it comes to what to wear on the plane. Here are some tips I have after my recent holiday.

(Bear in mind I am no expert when it comes to what to bring/what not to bring)

Carry on for short haul
  1. Vaseline/Lip balm
  2. A good book
  3. Ipod/mp3 player
  4. Cardigan (Planes are chilly)
  5. Hand sanitizer

Carry on extras for long haul
  1. Face wipes
  2. Toothpaste
  3. Toothbrush
  4. Eye mask (Sleeping mask)
  5. Face powder
  6. Small sized face moisturizer

If you bring nothing else I would definetely recommend bringing a lip balm and moisturizer. Personally, my skin feels extremely dry during the flight and I have certainly learned from my mistake of not bringing lip balm.
(Before I left, I was also advised to put some clothes in carry on, as it leaves more room for cosmetics etc in your suitcase).

If you have any extras, let me know below in the comments as I would love to know :)

Some of the essentials.
